to discuss other old gundam series also discuss here ba, i actully wana make this thread also bt don know welther u all like it a nt, niwae let me the "gundam ecyopedia" explan for u allright so lets start with the begining, i nw list down every gundam series by timeline MS gundam, also known as first gundam or gundam 0079: the first gundam series, it never recieve well ratings, bt the remake 3 part movie make it popular again, introduce the legendary newtype/pilot Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, as well as some other chars like Sayla Mass, who is the "wife" of Amuro, it was released at 1979 gundam 08th MS team: released at 1996, occured during near the end of 1 yr war, one of the most popular UC series ever released, it does nt hav any superhumans like newtypes infact even the ground gundam units are easy defeat by zakus, everything is difermine by skill, chars indroduced are Shiro Armada and Aina gundam 0080 war in the pocket: the story occured new the end of 1 yr war, here introduce two chars, the first female gundam pilot Chirstina Mackenzi and a newble zeon pilot Bernad, this series is famous for the "girlfriend kills her boyfriend" sence, as Chirstina and Bernad are girlfriend and boyfriend, the gundam alex that Chirstina pliots is actully for Amuro gundam 0083 stardust memory: also known as battle of the monster MS and MA, GP03 VS nuel zel, this story 7 yrs before zeta and explaned hw the titans(one of the enermies in zeta) are formed, this introduce chars like Kou Uraki, pilot of GP01 and GP03 and Gato, pilot of GP02 and nuel zel, and the clash between the two of them zeta gundam: one of the most famous "kill of cast" gundam shows, alot of main chars were killed off, here introduce the first transformation gundam, the zeta gundam, and alot of transformation MS, and also one of the most powerfull newtypes Kamile Bidan, Char also returns, as well as Amuro, enermies also introduce alot of ppl, one such as Sarah, although enermy side bt she targets only the heads and arms of MS and does nt kill, much like Kira in GS does(infact the directer copied Sarah's char), and also the newtype Haman Karn, who pilots the qubely with a dangerous psycomu system, zeta also has one of the most powerfull monster MS called psyco gundam double zeta: occured after the events of zeta, the show has low ratings as it attracts more child viewers than adults, due to most of the main cast are teenagers and small kids, it also features the return of Kamile and Haman, and some of the main cast in zeta, new chars introduced are the gundam team themself, mainly the powerfull newtype Judau Ashta, 10 ur old cute newtype girl Epelo Puru, new zeta pretty pilot Roux Louka etc etc, also for enermy side the clone of Epelu Puru , Puru 2, who pilots the Queen Manta monster, and also the return of psyco gundam Char's counter attack: occured sometimes after double zeta, featuring returning chars like Amuro and Char, and Bright Noa's son Hathaway Noa, this mainly focus on Amuro VS Char's rivary, as well as the fin funnels(a more powerfull weapon than the dragoons), it is said that Amuro and Char are listed as MIA in this series, thus mark the end of Amuro and Char's long time legnedary rivary gundam F91: this was a movie, occured after Char's counter attack, chars introduced are Seabook Amo and Celidia, the girlfriend of Seabook, for the badguys we hav the Iron Mask and Zabine, this series also had the most powerfull MA every created, the raffisa MA, F91 was nt quite sucess during the time it is released victory gundam: like zeta, victory is one of the darkest series, where the "kill of cast" is present, mainly 90% of the main cast are killed off, this series feature the youngest gundam pilot, a 13 yr old newtype Usso Alvin, and the first gundam who had bean shield system and wings of light(more powerfull than destiny), and also the "most evil women in the gundam series" the pretty Katejina Loos(infact she is one of my favroute chars in gundam) who Usso had a brother sister crush on, Katejina is mainly responsible for killing majarity of the cast at the final few episodes. In the end Katejina was nt dead, bt infact lose her eyesight, the directer says death would be too light for a punishment for her, well blindess is infact her best torture and punishment, although i do expect the allies to captue her and torture her, bt blindness would be her best punishment for nw. V gundam is the last UC series to every released, the yr was 1993 when V gundam was released gundam G: the first AU(alternitive universe) series to every produced, it was the 15th aneversary of gundam and the creaters deside to try something new, in this story colonies does nt exist anymore, it was until gundam wing that colony idea come back, this series is like watching street fighter, based on wikki, although the show recieve average ratings, the models proved to be popular. Chars introduced are Domon and his girlfriend Rain, for enermy side we hav Douho Bahai, or undefeated of the east AKA master asia or called dong fang bu bai, the units in gundam G probaly had the best systems among all the gundams, as the gundam units's control systems are laser like and it moves acording to ur body gundam wing/endless walthz: one of the best AU series, it was also one of the first series to be introduced to america, making gundam wing very popular in america. in gundam wing, there is a rule called "no V-fin, no victory", and the war between colonies idea is back. Chars introduced are the 5 gundam pilots Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Baton, Quotre and Zhang Wufei and the girlfriend of Heero, Relina Peacemaker, bad guys side we hav Zechs/Miriliano Peacemaker and Threze gundam X: gundam X is one of the most unpopular AU seires, alot of ppl does nt know of its exsistance, gundam X storyline is actully much better than gundam wing as most of the time it focus on chars and nt politic rubish on peace talks, gundam X also had one of the most powerfull superweapons for a MS can hold, the utimate satalite cannon which can destory colonies and the return of newtypes, this series also explans the wat is newtypes, which was nt clearly explaned in gundam 0079 , chars introduced are 15 yr old Garod Run(who is known as the "bastard") and the Emo super kawaii newtype Tiffa Albi, who is the girlfriend of Garod, Tiffa is known to hav more powerfull newtype abilities even than the legendary Amuro, in the SD games Tiffa also has more higher newtype stats even higher than Judau and Kamile, bt has no fighting ability, bt at higher lvls Tiffa has stronger fighting abilities. the Enermies introduced are the frost brothers. It should be also known that gundam X actully had 49 episodes, bt due to low ratings and the show slowly lsoe its sponsers, it was cut down into 39 episodes, makeing it the shortest gundam series(exclude ova) and it was move it from afternoon slot into an early morning slot during the time it is aired in japan turn A gundam: the yr when this series released was gundam's 20th aneversary, it was directed by the original gundam directer, this series combines all the previous series into one whole thing, and explaned that the timelines connected to each other by hw many yrs. Chars introduced are Loran Ceheck(or u can call him gay), his masters Soche and Kihel Helm, and Loran's Wife Queen Diana(one of the most powerfull position that a female char in gundam has hold, Diana was around 100+ yrs old, she married Loran in a sexless marriage), this series has one of the best storylines, as mainly it focus on politics, best of all those who are intrested in war stories only, it only focus on romance and other stuff at later stage. the Turn A and Turn X gundam also had a weapon called moonlight butterfly, although nt powerfull than the satalite cannon in gundam X, it still has enough power to absorb energy around them gundam seed/destiny/stargazer: no need explan much la, mostly storyline idea is copied from gundam 0079 and char ideas(like kira 's attitute is copied from sarah in zeta) are mostly copied also, it has bad battle sence, one famous thing i know is the METEOR unit so big that many zakus shooting it like shooting air, and the METEOR one shot comfirm hit also and it does nt looks like dodging, where compair with teh GP03 in 0083 it does dodge attacks gundam 00: no need explanation much also, mostly storyline copied from gundam wing, as suspected storyline in 2nd season surpose to work like gundam wing, many said that it was like watching gundam wing bt in differnet MS designs and chars for nw i jus stop here for the anime ba, manga later i explan Edited by nike, 4 Sep 2008, 01:23 AM.

nw move on to the mangas and novels, i will post wat i know only, there are too many gundam MGLOOL: occures during the one yr war known as the hidden one yr war, well thats all i know abt this, and OVA abt this has also been released, i never watch it gundam sentinel: this occures during the last few weeks of strugle between AEUG and titans(in zeta), it also features the most powerfull gundam unit, the S gundam(S stands for super) and the EX-S gundam(which is actully S gundam with a weapon equiped), chars introduced are Ryu Roots, the pilot of the S gundam, some had agrue welther sentinel should be confirmed as offical as their timeline stack together, bt it remains as one of the sucessfull gundam novels evern released(it only released as a novel) gundam side story, the blue destiny: blue destiny take place again during UC 0079 near the end of the one yr war, featuring chars like Yu Kajima, and his RX-78 blue destiny, there are 3 blue destiny units, and each is equiped with a EXAM system, that allows oldtypes(those without newtype powers) to pilot the blue destiny to newtype standard, bt the EXAM system contains a horror gundam unicorn: released as a novel only like sentinel, it begins in UC 0001, the first begining of human space colonlzation, the story take place three yrs after Char's counter attack, since i never read or seen this so i nt sure wats happening gundam Hathaway's flash: the story takes place 12 yrs after Char's counter attack, featuring Hathaway Noa, son of Bright Noa on his anti-federation group under the name of Maffy, as Hathaway also changed his name to Maffy, the name of the terrorist group, probaly on his pass terror on Char's counter attack, and the gundam prototypes XI gundam and penelope, Hathaway is captured and sentenced to death by his father, who does nt knows that Maffy is actilly his son Hathaway gundam X, under the moonlight: set after the events of gundam X, and featuring the returning gundam X unit, which the main chars had found, Garod and Tifa never appears, and also featuring the return of satalite cannon(which was destroyed in gundam X anime), the series proved to be much popular than its anime counterpart gundam seed astray/astray R/astray B/X astray/destiny astray/delta astray/frame astray: the story happens during the events of seed,destiny and stargazer, it was pretty quite confusing to begin with as the author make the whole astray story in different mangas, astray mainly features on the main story plot, featuring red frame pilot Lowe and his independent organization called junk guild who went across the land searching for MS parts, blue frame pilot Gai Murakudo and his group serpent tail, who does assination jobs on pay, and gold frame pilot Rondo Ghina Sahaku, who is a nobel man in orb and his twin sister Rondo Mina Sahaku, Ghina is the main vilian here bt his sister is nt, this story happens during the events of seed. Astray R is on the adventures of red frame pilot Lowe, astray B on adventures of blue frame pliot Gai Murakudo, X astray is the story of the failed cordinater Cannad Pass on his quest to kill the untimate cordinater Kira Yamato, but Cannad had one big obstruction on his way, the cordinater Prayer Rev, Lowe and Gai returns as surport chars. Destiny astray happens before and during seed destiny, new chars include a juornolist Jess Rable and his astray unit build and given by Lowe, the astray out frame, this also features the return of gold frame and its new pilot Mina, who is the sister of ex gold frame pilot Ghina, like Lowe and Gai, all three astray pilots return as surport chars, bt the story ends in a clif hanger, the real ending is at delta astray. Delta astray features on mars astray pilot Agnes, who pilots the delta astray and later the turn delta astray units, and also the end of the destiny astray story, much like the others, Mina, Gai and Lowe are surporting chars, the story also happens before the events of stargazer. Frame astray is the newest volume of the astray series, featuring Gai and his new blue frame 3rd, nt much is known abt it, bt there is a new unit call astray green frame. It should be known that all the astrays are close range MS, there is also a 2 episode 10 min OVA featuring red and blue frames(probaly for promoting the models), the OVA are actully part of the manga drawn in anime form, gold frame does nt has much story as Mina does nt take part in battles much, and the gold frame models is released at a latter stage gundam 00P/00F/00P/00V: no need much explanation le ba, i believe u guys should know abt this Edited by nike, 4 Sep 2008, 12:06 PM.

Vandread...I watched the second Stage only, the SS is about men and women live in a different world(not literately if i remember it right.) The main character Hibiki, pilots a mecha with one eye with a sword similar to Zone Of Enders 2 : The Second Runner's Jenity mecha's sword, which I loved along with a few main female cast who helps him and in the end they can "gattai" with Hibiki's mecha and the girls sit on top of Hibiki, but that's only the main female lead, the idiotic-red-hair-sexy-girl. Their enemies was some kid who control an alien force or bla bla I forgot the rest. |
