Determining Profile ID

Many of the members might be confused between Members # and Profile ID.
Members # is the number of account registered in our database.
Profile ID is a set of number (usually consists of six numerical) which we can know which user is exactly.

The simplest way to determine your Profile ID is from the top left of the page after you have logged in, as shown below.

Posted Image

Click on the username or follow the link of the username.
Read the URL, the last part of the URL will be your Profile ID.

For example, the URL http://forums.ro-guardian.net/profile/178012/, the red part will be your Profile ID.

Profile ID is not secret nor private.
There are other way to determine yours and other Profile ID, but this is the the simplest way to determine yours.

Also Some of the images hosting site (e.g., Imageshack) also do not provide direct URL.

If you have linked your avatar and you found out that your avatar area appears the word "Member Avatar" instead of what you expect, check back this document because the link you have inserted is NOT a direct link.

To check whether the link is a direct link, key it into your browser. If it is a direct link, only the image will be shown. Otherwise, you will see other things along with your images.

Constructing Tables

NOTE: The table's constructing BBCodes are in its Beta age.

To make a simple table:
[Table]Content of your table[/Table].

Content of your table

Determining how many columns your table should have, for example, three columns:
[Table=3]R1C1[C]R1C2[C]R1C3[/Table]

R1C1R1C2R1C3

Multiply the [C] tag to go to the second row:
[Table=3]R1C1[C]R1C2[C]R1C3[C]R2C1[C]R2C2[C]R2C3[/Table]

R1C1R1C2R1C3
R2C1R2C2R2C3

To add a header:
[Table=3,This is the header]R1C1[C]R1C2[C]R1C3[C]R2C1[C]R2C2[C]R2C3[/Table]

This is the header
R1C1R1C2R1C3
R2C1R2C2R2C3

Substitute the first row under the header to become subtitle:
[Table=3,This is the header,1]Subtitle@R1C1[C]Subtitle@R1C2[C]Subtitle@R1C3[C]R2C1[C]R2C2[C]R2C3[/Table]

This is the header
Subtitle@R1C1Subtitle@R1C2Subtitle@R1C3
R2C1R2C2R2C3

Embedding YouTube Video

The simple BBCode to embed a flash like YouTube is:
[flash]url[/flash]

While BBCode to embed a flash with a specified output size is:
[flash=x,y]url[/flash]

Where
x is the alternative width of the flash,
y is the alternative height of the flash and
url is the URL or link to that flash.

The x and y field is optional. If there are not provided, the board default will be used.

Note: Please put any flash that will reshape the forum's layout in the spoiler BBCode.

YouTube's URL may be vary, from short to long, depends on where you from before you reach the page of YouTube.
However, if you are viewing a video streaming page, copying everything before the & and abandon anything after that will do.

For example, before shortening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7SeHqxOVYc&feature=channel_page

After shortening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7SeHqxOVYc

Reforming: http://www.youtube.com/v/z7SeHqxOVYc

Note: However, all of the pattern of links above should work. If not, please tell us.

To embed with BBCode, for example, using the URL after shortened:
[flash]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7SeHqxOVYc[/flash]

Embed with customized size: To embed with BBCode, for example, using the URL after shortened:
[flash=640,385]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7SeHqxOVYc[/flash]

Happy embedding! :)

Moderators

What is mean by "Moderator"?
The moderators are members of the board who are granted access to the topics and posts of all members for the purpose of moderating discussion based on the guidelines, rules and regulations, similar to arbitration, and also keeping the forum clean, neutralizing spam. Moderators may also, but not obliged, to answer members' concerns about the board, general questions, as well as respond to specific complaints. They also can do anything, but not obliged, based on the moderating guidelines, to lend a helping hand to a member in need.

Can I be a moderator?
Yes, everyone have chance to become a moderator. Building of good image in our board for yourself will increase that chances while rule breaking will be vice-versa. However, please do not ask to become one, it's annoying.

How does the current moderators became one?
Most of them are succeeded from ro-guardians.com and ro-guardian.org and some are chosen by current administrator.

When is the next new moderator intake?
We never held moderator intake and will never have one. New moderators will be chosen whenever there is a need, by the administrators or administration. Alternatively, a member can be introduced by any staff on board to the administration to become one. So getting well with the team may be an important aspect for you to become one in the future.

Is there any chance I can be a moderator?
Yes. Moderators are usually chosen from members who actively make constructive posts, less violating rules, and that can communicate and friendly with the current moderators.

What should I do if I have grudge with one of the moderator?
When a moderator is chosen, we trust that he/she will act rationally but not taking any private issues into consideration while moderating. So, do not worry about that.

What should I do if a moderator bias on me or is abusing his/her power?
Please try to send a message to them nicely and ask for an explanation. Deal it personally in private until where you can.
If you are not satisfied or that he/she refused to explain, you may send an email to the management at support@ro-guardian.net and provide anything that you think might useful for the management to deal with the problem.
