| Ro-Guardian.NET Rules & Regulations Version: 0.18.3 Last update & approval: 06st January 2010 General Rules 101 Do not create multiple accounts. All offence: Primary account will be suspended for 30 days and cloned accounts will be banned permanently. Multiple accounts is strictly prohibited. If your account is muted, suspended or banned, you may send your appeal to support@ro-guardian.net. 102 Do not share your account. All offence: Temporary suspended. Proxy speaking or speak behalf a muted, suspended or banned member is not allowed. If your account is muted, suspended or banned, you may send your appeal to support@ro-guardian.net. 103 Do not create accounts with restricted or forbidden username. All offence: Permanent ban. Restricted or forbidden username includes: - any content that hints to sexual matter; - any content that hints to insult other member; - any content that hints him/herself as one of our staff; and - any content that hints or relates of politic, religion, commercial party, organization or sensitive issues. In case where we believe that the member did that unintentionally, a chance and request of changing his/her username will be delivered. If that request is not responded within the given time limit, the member will also be penalized accordingly. Profile Rules 201 Do not exceeds the maximum signature size: 500×150 (width×height) First offence: Verbal warning and request of removal. Second offence: Forcibly removing specified signature + 3 days ban. Further offence: Forcibly removing specified signature + 30 days ban. 202 Do not exceeds the maximum avatar size: 150×150 (width×height) First offence: Verbal warning and request of removal. Second offence: Forcibly removing specified avatar + 3 days ban. Further offence: Forcibly removing specified avatar + 30 days ban. Avatar which exceeded the limit that has been set will be automatically adjusted to fit the limit according to its original ratio. Although there is an automatic adjusting system, avatar which exceeded the limit that has been set is not encouraged as it will still causes bandwidth-wastes. 203 Do not use any signature or avatar that hints to sexual matter or hints to insult other. First offence: Verbal warning and request of such removal. Second offence: Forcibly removing specified avatar + 7 days ban. Further offence: Forcibly removing specified signature + 30 days ban. Posting Rules 301 No flaming, harassing, abusive language, swearing or abbreviations of such words, personal attacks, racial attacks, religious attacks, ethnic attacks, or sexual related insults and slangs. First offence: Verbal Warning. Second offence: 2 hours post block. Third offence: 3 days post block. Further offence: 7 days post block. Heavy offence: Offender may subject to 30 days post block or permanent ban. This includes linking to sources outside which contain such ill-mannered content. This rule is only relaxed at the moderator's discretion. For a chain of flame posts, the starter will receive doubled penalty. 302 Do not spam. First offence: Verbal warning. Second offence: 24 hours post block + post count deduction of 100 counts for each spam post posted. Further offence: 7 days post block + post count deduction of 200 counts for each spam post posted. Spam posts includes posts: - with only one word (e.g., lol, hahaha, ...); - with only contents that make no sense; - that only have emoticons; and - that off topics. Spam topics includes topics: - that doesn't fit to that section; and - topics that make no sense. Double-posting is not allowed, edit your post. If you accidentally made a double-post, edit your following posts and state what is happening (e.g., broken connection). 303 Discussion on sensitive issues (e.g., politics and religions) is strictly prohibited. First offence: Verbal warning. Second offence: 2 hours post block. Third offence: 3 days post block. Further offence: Offender may subject to temporary post block or permanent ban. Please avoid pointing out some sensitive information like the name of politicians or country. Also, Do note that we reserve the right to close any topic like this for any reason including none. 304 Do not continue a topic or discussion that has been stopped, locked or forbid. First offence: Verbal warning + topic lock. Second offence: 3 days post block + topic lock. Further offence: 7 days post block + topic lock. 305 Do not link to a third party site bring profits or benefits to its owner or purposely diverting the members' attention without our prior permission. First offence: Verbal Warning Further offence: 7 days post block. Heavy offence: Offender may subject to 30 days post block or permanent ban. Any links beside ro-guardian.net are considered as 3rd party website. Diverting members to other forums is not allowed. You may promote your blogs through your signature and appropriate topics with limit that is set - a line. Images hosting and linking is exempted from this rule but please regard Rule [310]. Diverting members to a harmful site is strictly prohibited. 306 Do not send or post any chain or pyramid schemed messages First offence: Verbal warning. Further offence: Permanent ban. 307 Do not request or distribute malicious, illegal or forbidden software. First offence: Verbal warning. Further or heavy offence: Permanent ban. This includes trainer programs (aka bots), hacks (e.g., accelerators), key generator (aka keygen), pirated license key etc.. 308 English as primary communication language. First offence: Verbal warning. Second offence: 2 hours post block. Third offence: 3 days post block. Further offence: 7 days post block. Everyone need common language for bridge of communication. If you wish to post in other language, kindly translate your own within the same post. This rule is only relaxed at the moderator's discretion. 309 Do not laugh at other poor English or grammatical mistakes. First offence: Verbal warning. Second offence: 3 days post block. Further offence: 7 days post block. No one is perfect and we learn all the time. If you think other is wrong, tell them nicely. If you cannot understand their English, ask for further explanation. Any post that looks like insulting them will be penalized as you show disrespect to other members.
310 Adults materials, porn and hentai materials are strictly prohibited. First offence: Verbal warning. Further offence: 30 days post block. Heavy offence: Offender may subject to 30 days post block or permanent ban. Privacy, Confidentiality & Copyrights 501 The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act is hereby enforced. All offence: Verbal warning and forcibly remove of related data. Heavy offence: Permanent ban and forcibly remove of related data. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act is intended to protect the privacy of children under 13 years old. We allow users under 13 to register with permission from their parent or guardian but users are not encouraged to lie about their age and we will take action to remove or suspend the account of any user found to be under 13 without permission from their parent or guardian. We will not collect or allow personal information to be posted by those users. 502 Invading of one's privacy is prohibited. First offence: Verbal warning and request of remove related data. Second offence: 15 days post block and forcibly remove of related data. Further offence: Temporarily suspendedand forcibly remove of related data. Heavy offence: Permanent ban. Example of data which invades one's privacy are photos, residential address, workplace, date of birth, IC number, real name, etc.. 503 Attempt to obtain, post, spread or publish any data which are classified as "private and confidential" or data which are protected by the administration or moderation team of this board is strictly prohibited. All offence: Verbal warning and forcibly remove of related data. Heavy offence: Permanent ban. 504 Link any copyrighted material from other site to our board without permission from its copyright owner; and link any copyrighted material from our board to other site is not allowed. All offence: Verbal warning and forcibly remove of related data or request remove of related data. Heavy offence: Permanent ban. Moderating & Administering 401 Insulting any member of our staff team is not allowed. First offence: Verbal warning. Further offence: Offender may subject to temporary post block or permanent ban. All decision of moderators and administrators are final. Any topics or posts created to discuss on any moderator or administrator will be closed or trashed. If you disagree with an action taken on the board, please send an email to support@ro-guardian.net for review. 402 Do not try to circumvent the rules and regulations First offence: Verbal warning. Further offence: Offender may subject to temporary post block or permanent ban. If you found a loophole in the rules and regulations, please send a private message to administrator or email us at support@ro-guardian.net for review. Any rules modified will take effective immediately, hence penalty will also be effective but may be relaxed, unless stated. Penalty may differ from member to member and time to time, there is no point to argue with this, all penalty written here are only for reference. 403 Obey all section-dependent rules. Special rules in each forums will also be effective. Penalty depends on moderator in charge. Any moderator reserve the right to temporarily implement a special rule to any member in this forum to balance the environment.
